TCU Football

TCU, my alma mater, has gone through a pretty amazing 2009 football regular season. The Horned Frogs were unbeaten this year, the second time in their long history. Now all they have left is to find out who and where they will play in the BCS bowl series. Go Frogs!

Chaos and Joy

Created by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere’s missions are to create “chaos and joy” in public places. Based out of NYC, the improv troupe has created over 100 missions since 2001, involving over ten-thousand agents.

This is one of my favorite movie opening sequence. I love the visuals but I’m also fascinated by the sound effects, or lack thereof. If you ever watch this in a theater, the silence of the universe, as the camera zooms out, is unforgettable. One tid bit of info I got from The Art of The Tittle Sequence on this opening is that’s Jenna Malone’s (young Ellie) eyes are not blue.

Another one bites the dust

Best use of music in a commercial.

I’m not sure if this ad won any awards, but as far as I’m concerned, this is one of the best uses of music in a commercial. I can’t remeber when this ad come out, but I remember it well and remember what company made it — AIWA.  Isn’t that what ads are for?
