Flat out, the best ads ever
December 11, 2009
In 1999 Levi’s came out with their Sta-Prest line of clothing. To promote this line, Levi’s created a series of ads starring a young hipster named Angel and a puppet named Flat Eric. In this series of commercials, the duo rides around California evading polices, drinking slushies, killing flies and listening to techno music. What do they have to do with pants and shirts? Who cares. These ads are hysterical! At least to me they are. Anyhow, here’s a few of them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
I’m still looking to get a Flat Eric Puppet if anyone wants to send me one for X-mas…

Alice in Timberland

Tim Burton’s new take on the classic Alice in Wonderland.
I have to say that I’ve never really cared for this story, maybe it’s because of its weird nature, maybe it’s because all those rabbits and mushrooms references, I don’t know, I’ve just been so meh about it. Anyhow, this new adaptation by Tim Burton and his regulars does have me intrigued. Below are some recently published visuals. I swear, Johnny Depp is a chameleon.

Hey Jude, en masse.
May 5, 2009
I have to say that T-Mobile is doing some very interesting marketing. This is a follow up to their flash mob dance commercial in Liverpool Street Station, London. If you haven’t seen it, do so. In this new one, 13,500 people sang Hey Jude together, in Trafalgar Square, London.
I wonder when Dallas, TX will see one of these “happenings”.
